I made tomato soup this weekend, but since I can't make anything this winter without making it fiery harissa is my new favorite spice.

See that bamboo cutting board? That was a Christmas gift from my friend Leslie. She had the good idea to buy a cutting board that would photograph well as a nice contrast to my dark table. Smart friend, that one. You can see why I keep her around ;).
