You guys, it turns out a whole bunch of you want to take photos too! And that you're just like me: regular posting is hard! I'm so excited that a bunch of you want to do this regular photoblogging thing with me until the end of the year. Like, almost hair-holding in the bathroom for your best girlfriend after a night of drunken escapades kind of support happy. This is some serious shit ya'll.
So I thought I'd put together a list of everyone who said they're definitely in. There's also another list for wafflers. And finally a couple people have asked for the rules so I'll post those too. Just to make it all official n' shit.
Yayyy!! Who did I forget? And do we need to have a kickoff party?! :)
THE OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL RULES OF SOPHEAVA'S 2011 PHOTO-CHALLENGE
- start date: 5/1
- except I'm not requiring you to post on weekends, so I guess that makes the official start date 5/2
- post each weekday, Monday through Friday
- kick your feet up on the weekends; posting is totally optional on Saturday and Sunday
- the photo does not have to be taken that day, I believe in the power of archives. amen!
- the occasional cameraphone photograph is perfectly acceptable, but don't make it a habit. I believe in all ya'llz talent! (*grouphug*)
- end date: 12/31
- except the 31st is a saturday, so I guess it's actually 12/30
This is very cool, I am so excited. Can a pocket camera, Point of View camera and even a frame grab from a video be considered along with the occasional cell phone photo (I don't have a cell phone)?
Also what about a slightly or heavily Photoshopped image.
What is the penalty for the inevitable missed post? I'd be willing to get a note frm my Doctor!
I would say count me in, but that would feel like cheating. I already do daily, though rely very heavily on archives - it's hard not to when using mostly film. It is nice to have a digi to fill in the gaps though.
Would it be worth creating a flickr group or some other way for us to see the results easily?

@Dave: I'm launching a website redesign soon (hoped it would be this weekend but the parental units are in town, so it'll be next week). Everyone will be on the front page of my site, and if I'm feeling ambitious I'll even put thumbnails of all their images :). The problem is that maybe half the people are on flickr?

Is there a prize for the worst procrastinator? 'Cause that could be me. I've been waffling about this for days, thinking I'd like to be a part of this but knowing how much of a challenge it will be for me to get my butt out and take pictures.... But I'm gonna go for it!
