I just had to share this recipe with you. It's delicious, wonderful, full of comfort and tons of magical healing properties. Plus it's vegetarian, gluten free, sugar free, and guilt free. I haven't tasted every chili on the planet but this one made it into my recipe box. It's definitely going to be on rotation this winter!
I made a few modifications tho. I subbed tamari for worchestershire sauce (which has anchovies in it! did you know this?), vegetable stock for beer, and one chopped jalapeno for the hot sauce. Plus I made cuban black beans instead of the canned stuff (because I'm a total black beans snob, you should know this about me).
I topped mine with cilantro and fresh squeezed lime juice, but it would be amazing with sour cream, cheese and/or tortilla chips. Honestly I just forgot to add sour cream OR cheese OR tortilla chips because I WAS TOO BUSY STUFFING MY FACE.
Many thanks to emoeby for sharing this recipe with me.
